How to Clean Camping Gear after Using Them

Camping is one of the exciting activities you can do with your family and friends during weekends and holidays.  To maximize your fun and comfort for this outdoor activity, it is important that you have all the necessary camping gear with you.  It is best to invest on camping equipment, for you can always use them for the next camping trip.  To ensure that your gear would last long, you have to clean it right after use.  Below is a step by step process on how to do this.

Step 1:  Consult a checklist of your equipment.

Before you go camping, you have to list down all the things that you are going to bring.  This checklist is useful when camping is used to make sure that you have packed everything that you brought to the campsite.

Step 2:  You have to segregate the gear.

The next thing that you should do is to separate the items according to the way you have to clean them.  You can put together the items that you have to wash such as clothes and bedding.  For cleaning the sleeping bags or tents, you have to read the special instruction on the label carefully before you do the washing.  You have to do your laundry immediately so that stains and the smell of mud would not cling to them.  You also have to clean separately the kitchen utensils and the stove.

Step 3:  Ensure that the items are dry before you keep them away.

Another important thing that you have to do is to make sure that all the camping gear are thoroughly cleaned and dried before storing them in their proper places.  This will protect the items from wearing quickly.

Following this step-by-step guide in keeping your gear clean after camping will lengthen their lifespan.  By doing this, you can save money and effort from buying new ones every time you want to go camping.
