How to Make Money in World of Warcraft

Throughout the years, online gaming has grown into an international industry that brings people from around the world together under a single, virtual gaming world.  One of the biggest virtual gaming realms is that of World of Warcraft, which attracts millions of subscribers every month.  It is only natural that people would seek ways to make a profit from playing World of Warcraft, even if it’s just to make up for the $15 monthly subscription fee.  A great way to make money on World of Warcraft is to be a freelance mercenary, and here’s how:

Step 1:  Level up your character.

Perhaps the most crucial and most difficult step toward making money in World of Warcraft as a freelance mercenary is to level up your character.  Leveling can take a lot of time and effort on your part, which is why it is so difficult.  Still, when you are at a respectable level, you will probably be able to hold your own in raids, clan battles, and other player-versus-player confrontations.  Remember to choose the right skills to ensure that you have a character that has the proper tools for your role as a mercenary.

Step 2:  Advertise your services.

There are a lot of ways to advertise your freelance mercenary services, both in-game and out-of-game.  In the game, make sure that you use all possible means of advertising, including community boards and in-game announcement methods.  When not in the game, you can continue your advertising both online and offline.  Remember to use game forums, message boards, and other online advertising strategies.  The idea is to be your own manager and promoter.

Step 3:  Continue on your path as a freelance mercenary.

As a freelance mercenary, there are a lot of options for you to try out.  For example, you can work for individual players who want other players assassinated, you can work for a clan to help them win battles or raids, or you can work for other people who need help leveling their character.  Being a freelance mercenary also entails a commitment to work hard at getting your player stronger by leveling up, getting strong items, and making sure that your skills and abilities have good synergy with your player type.

When trying to make money as a freelance mercenary, it’s important to keep an open line of communication with your customers.  Trust is a key factor in making online transactions like this, so it’s also important to be transparent about your services and dealings.  Remember, in the end, World of Warcraft is still a game, so try to have fun with it, no matter what you decide to do.
