National Home Improvement Show draws Crowds to Olympia

This year’s National Home Improvement Show attracted a record number of visitors; the much-anticipated exhibition was held at Olympia in London from 28th – 30th September, drawing a crowd of 19 852 people during this time. This impressive statistic sees attendance at the National Home Improvement Show rise by 16% since last year’s event.

The National Home Improvement Show 2012 treated visitors to more than 300 exhibits by respected home improvement companies; DIY enthusiasts came in search of advice and inspiration, attending in-depth seminars, watching live demonstrations and browsing the seemingly endless range of home and garden improvement products on display. New features at the show this year included an interactive café where visitors could use touchscreen technology to access expert home improvement advice, and free interior design classes for those with a keen eye for aesthetics.

Renewed Interest

Organisers say the record attendance is a sure sign that the event is coming of age. “The show provides a massive amount of free expert advice on all of the key issues” says Michael Seaman, event director of the National Home Improvement Show. Mr Seaman told press that the event is more valuable for exhibitors and visitors than ever before. He also claims that research shows an increased interest in home improvement despite the struggling UK economy, and the massive success of this year’s show certainly supports this research.

The National Home Improvement Show will be back at Olympia in 2013, from 27th – 29th September, and it looks like the event will be going from strength to strength. Section at next year’s show will include:
