Cashless Ways to Enjoy Miami

It seems like we have this notion that the best vacation destinations are those which leave us with nothing but a devastating credit card bill after our trip. But while Miami might be entertaining scores of summer goers in a yearly basis and the city is often hailed for its exhilarating party scene, the truth of the matter is that it’s actually one of the cheapest tourist spots in the entire country. For a place which gives you gorgeous beaches, amazing nightlife and a vast selection of shopping centers, Miami is the perfect solution for thrifty vacationers.

Kick off your visit to Miami by visiting Calle Ocho at Little Havana during Cultural Fridays. The sidewalks of this open-air gallery feature more than a hundred artists including painters, sculptors and musicians. Guests will have a grand time stumbling into miniature exhibits and certain pockets of Calle Ocho become host spontaneous concerts. Viernes Culturales is held every last Friday of the month and starts from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Versace Mansion:  if you’re a slave for fashion but your bank account isn’t cooperating with you, then satisfy your cravings without having to swipe that plastic card by visiting Versace Mansion. Located at 1116 Ocean Drive, this is the very same place where renowned fashion designer Gianni Versace held opulent balls which were attended by certain personalities such as Elton John, Madonna and even the late Princess Diana. Tragically though, the designer was shot at the steps of this very mansion.

Miami is packed with museums and a number of them offer free admission, like the Holocaust Memorial. Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on a daily basis, the main focus of the memorial is the photographic mural accompanied by a Memorial Wall wherein all of the names of those who fell victim to concentration camps are written. If you’re of Jewish descent and would like to know more of your heritage, the Jewish Museum of Florida waives its admission fees during Saturdays.

With all the natural splendors that the city of Miami has to offer, it’s only right to explore the outdoors. Get all centered and attain that inner peace as you make those challenging poses right along the shore with Yoga in the Park. Classes are offered at the Bayfront Park during Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays which are open to both beginners and experts. Biscayne National Park is also the right venue for activities, such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
