Steps to minimize facial pores

Step #1: Use a facial cleanser

Clogged up oil in the pores cause the pores to be infected and dilated. Use facial cleansers to remove the deep-seated dirt from your facial pores.

Step #2: Apply moisturizer

Another way to minimize your large pores is to apply moisturizer. Regardless of your skin type, applying moisturizer can be a great help to minimize your skin pores.

Step #3: Use oil-control beauty products

Since oil can cause the dilation of your pores, you need to control your face’s excessive production of oil. There are many oil-control beauty products you can find. You should not apply the oil-controlling product all over your face, however. Read the instructions and only apply it to the area which is excessively oily.

Step #4: Splash your face with cold water

Running an ice tube over your face or splashing your face with cold water will minimize pores.

Step #5: Use powder on your face

If you do have large pores and you are really embarrassed by them, you should use face powder to cover them up. You can also apply foundation. However, avoid the heavy application of powder and foundation as this can only result in irritation and other skin problems.

Tips on using products that can minimize facial pores

Before using products that could minimize pores, you should first consult your dermatologist. This is especially necessary if you have sensitive skin. It is also important that you carefully read the instructions on the products’ labels before using them. Make sure that you follow them carefully to avoid side effects and other problems caused by the over-application of products.

If you want a smooth and oil-free face, keep your skin healthy and clean.

It is very important that you wash your face with gentle cleanser and use toner to remove deep seated dirt on your face, as the dirt can stick to the pores on the face and make it bigger. If you are not a fan of chemicals and would rather use natural products then another option after washing the face is use baking soda. Pour 2 tablespoons of baking soda into the palms of your hand and add water until it forms as a paste. Massage the paste in circular motion all over the face for 30 seconds and then rinse. You can then opt to use a moisturizer of leave it and let the natural oils of the body moisturize your skin. It is also of utmost importance that you have a healthy diet to have glowing skin.

  4. I have really oily face and large pores. I have tried many face wash, oil controlling stuffs, chemical, home-made but still nothing. I’m in my mid-twenties, is diamond peel advisable? My sis said facials could help in minimizing pores but only temporarily. Is there any other (inexpensive) way?
