If you’re looking to buy a great new mobile phone, then continue reading to find which of these two devices got our seal of approval.
Why You Should Get the LG Optimus G…
Okay, the Optimus has a few advantages. Firstly, it’s the faster phone. It runs double the RAM of the HTC, making it more responsive and better equipped to handle running more than one process at a time or multi-tasking in general. The LG’s screen has around ten per cent higher resolution than that on the One X, meaning that picture quality is sharper and brighter. You also get a higher resolution camera on the Optimus, which comes with a massive 13 MP in built device as opposed to the standard 8 MP cam on the HTC. Therefore photos taken with the LG are simply better quality and have more fine detail than those taken using the HTC. The battery life is better on the LG, which averages around fifteen hours of talk time per battery charge cycle as compared to ten hours on the HTC, meaning you need to charge your phone less often. And finally, the Optimus comes in around ten per cent smaller than the One X, so it’s a little more portable.
Why You Might Want the HTC One X…
The HTC has a few advantages of its own though. It does have much faster maximum data speeds, meaning quicker downloading and faster opening of web pages. It also runs a newer operating system, coming with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean rather than the older 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich system on the Optimus. In general, a newer operating system version means a little more speed and more stability, with less chance of your phone crashing or freezing. Finally, the HTC comes in a little lighter than the Optimus, at 130 g versus 145 g.
Which One is Recommended?
Our vote goes to the LG Optimus G. It’s faster, has a better screen, better camera and better battery. All of these things make the Optimus a better bargain than the HTC One X, in our opinion.
