It is always good to clean up computer's disk regularly. Whenever possible, clear up disk space during weekends or on rest days (that is if you are a personal user). It is because the process takes time...but then again, as the author said, prevention is better than cure. Do clean your disc space regularly

I am also using CCLEANER it’s really easy to use. It is really designed for those that are not aware on how to clean up their disk. Even temporary internet files can be wiped out by CCLEANER and also your registry. I do have also problems with my HD before so what I did I just bought a external hard drive for my videos and photos because it’s easier to manage and portable.

There's a software called "CCLEANER". I use that every time I want to remove unnecessary files or programs that accommodates disk space. And it also compresses folders and files.I recommend that you better download ccleaner it will make your computer work faster and ever more secure.

I would say that the photos that we save in our computers tend to eat a lot of our disk space. I am speaking through my own experience. I am always in a hurry to free my digital cameras memory card, and I end up dumping all my photos in my computer and before I knew it, It has already occupied most of my computer's disk space!

Yes, it's true that defragmentation needs to be done on a regular basis and cleaning up temporary internet files to free up disc space from your computer. First, you must identify which programs or files are you using regularly. Then for the other programs or files which you rarely use have them backed-up on a cd/dvd disc or have an external hard drive for storage of your files. Lastly, delete the files or programs which you do not use at all or again have them backed up on external hard drive or disc. This will just take-up stay on your computer which you can allot for something more useful and meaningful. Storing all the files in your computer will really affect the performance of your personal computer no matter how high-end the computer you currently have.

Oftentimes, I don't notice that I'm already using up all the disk space in my laptop. I would be surprise when I see that I only have a few GB remaining. So now, I make sure that I perform routine disk check to delete unused files. There are some downloadable softwares in the internet that can help in deleting unwanted files, like temporary internet files. I use these programs to make it easier for me to delete. Also, when I have files that I rarely use but I still need them, I just copy them in a blank DVD disk so that I can just get the files from there when I need them. It is very important to keep your computer as clean and organized as possible because it will be easier to find those files when you need them.

Microsoft Windows-based computers need regular defragmentation. Defragmentation is a computer utility wherein user has the option to clean up or to re-arrange the files that are recorded in the hard disk or in a storage device. When user uses the computer regularly, the storage device will surely store numbers of files but usually or there's a possibility that the file will be arranged incorrectly. So defragmentaion utility will rearrange files appropriately, so that the storage device will give more spaces available for saving more files. The fastest way of cleaning or removing the temporary files is through the "tools" option of an internet browser. The user will choose what particular temporary files to be deleted or removed. Some are the cookies, caches or the internet browsing histories. If you don't want to delete files or program but you want to free spaces in your storage device, it is essential if you would gonna make backup for the files and programs which you don't want deleted.

Defragmentation should be done on a regular basis as it frees up disc space and also it helps speed up your computer by decompressing files and removing unnecessary ones. Consider using programs to help you in this "unwanted" chore, websites such as www.filehippo.com and www.cnet.com provide all sorts of programs while giving insights on how effective it is through reviews and ratings from users. And also if you have files and programs that are rarely used but too precious to delete, consider investing in a flash drive, external hard disk or you could also consider burning it into a CD/DVD. Just be careful though, devices like these, especially flash drives are prone to harmful viruses and spyware/malware.
