Microsoft Recognises the Worth of its Partners

A Partner-Centric Enterprise

Microsoft, founded in 1975, with over one billion users, relies heavily on partnerships for innovation, re-selling and software development. The company refers to itself as a ‘partner-centric’ business, and with 640 000 partners around the globe this is undoubtedly what they are. Microsoft values innovation the most in its partners, as it strives to meet the needs of the diverse range of customer needs.

Microsoft Dynamics partners are expected to develop and deliver software solutions that meet the needs of the business client-base and drive business success globally. Partners who succeed in this are recognised and rewarded by the company annually. In this year’s annual Microsoft Partner Conference in Toronto Microsoft Dynamics gave awards to 33 partners across the globe.

What is Microsoft Dynamics?

Microsoft Dynamics provides software solutions for SMEs and large business enterprises. Dynamics consists of two main branches of software: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management software (CRM). CRM provides businesses with marketing capability, services and sales and can be used either onsite, where the client has software installed in the workplace, or it can be used in the cloud, in what is referred to as software as a service.

Along with innovative development, Dynamics relies on its partners for re-selling the software. Partners sell, implement and provide support for businesses in their region to become vendors and trusted advisors.

Microsoft Dynamics Partner Awards Categories

At the awards ceremony, 10 companies were awarded Dynamics Worldwide Partner Conference Awards, which included prizes like Marketplace Solution Excellence, which went to ClickDimensions, Retail Partner of the Year, awarded to Ignify Inc, and ERP Partner of the Year, which went to INFORMA Software Consulting GmbH.

Thirteen awards were handed out to the best resellers of the year. The Reseller Awards were broken down regionally with an overarching award given to Tribridge Holdings, LLC for the Outstanding Reseller of the Year.

Independent Software Vendor Awards were also given out regionally, with one overarching achiever: Axtension BV won Outstanding ISV of the year.

The Inner Circle and The President’s Club

In addition to the awards, a small group of Dynamics partners were welcomed into two elite groups of Microsoft’s most strategic partners, whose performance rates them among the most valuable of the Dynamics partners. These elite groups are called the Dynamics Inner Circle, which has around 50 members from around the globe, and the Dynamics President’s Club, with just over 200 members for 2012.

For those looking for careers in Microsoft Dynamics, the recognised partners are most certainly the best place to start.
